What's the weather like in Estepona in November

November gets cooler as winter is just around the corner here in Estepona. While you won't experience a snowy and cold continental winter if you spend your holiday on Costa del Sol, you'll still get a chill from the mountain wall behind the city.

Temperature

The average temperature drops to 16°C (61°F), with nights slightly nippy at 14°C on the lower end. The warmer days are expected to reach 19°C on average, best felt on the sunnier days of the month, during the first and second week.

Sunshine Hours

The days get shorter with up to 8 hours of sunshine, but chances of sunny days drop to 27% on average, while chances of cloudy days go up to 22% and chances of rain hit 32% on average. This tableau creates a mixture of both sunny and rainy days, with lower temperatures than the ones previously recorded in October.

Humidity

Humidity is up at 75% in November, and it can be best felt in the early mornings, but the dew points are nowhere near oppressive.

Rainfall

Rainfall can reach up to 109mm on average, spread over a total of 11 days, which makes this one the wetter month of the year so it is probably best to check a local forecast and be prepared with an umbrella!

Wind

Wind speeds stay down at a mild 1.5m/s on average, and most of the currents blowing over Estepona will be north and north-eastern, mainly from the mountainside. Chances of windy days stay up at 49%. The waters get choppy and tides will get higher than usual, particularly towards the third and fourth week of the month.

Sea Temperature

The beautiful Mediterranean Sea drops its temperature to an average 19°C (66°F) while not the best time to swim or engage in scuba diving or snorkelling; it won't be harmful on a quick dip. The marine currents from the north-African regions begin to shift and retire towards the end of November.

The first remarkable spot to explore is the lagoon, which is riddled with exotic birds, including the bright and colourful flamingos.

One of the park's best features is the man-made canyon, a bird sanctuary enclosed by hills and lush flora, home to 40 different species of feathered creatures.
