We have been twice, once in April and once in November.
April was hot and sunny.
November more changeable, unusually we had several overcast days with some rain, but it was still pleasantly warm.
We spend a lot of time on boat trips, snorkelling as both months had comfortable sea temperatures.Holiday
Perfect for us as it was quiet, which we like and peaceful in our private rented villa.
Private villas can be a good thing during the day when you have few people on the boats, other attractions, shops etc, but in the evening there is a lack of atmosphere as most people are in their all inclusive hotels. Not good for the local economy either.
Many tourists have stopped going following the unrest in Egypt which is a shame as there is no problem in El Gouna.
Any signs of unrest are several hundred miles away in Cairo!Recommend El Gouna to others?

We were in El Gouna in December--absolutely brilliant.
Sandstorm was a real experience!

Brilliant!
Also with no hassle shopping, what a change from places like Sharm, etc.
Opera from the "met" by live satellite link.
Returning June 2013 and again in December 2013!

Fabulous holiday!
We stayed in Abu Tig Marina where the standards are very high.
There are lots of different types of eating places.

Hotel again was lovely,not very busy. Entertainment was not as good as it is in September. Staff seem to fob you off with excuses. Not at all impressed with Thomas Cook rep

Very hot, with a nice cool breeze blowing every so often.
The lagoon will cool you down if it gets too hot.
Its been beautiful here for the last 3 weeks or so, a welcome from the Cold damp of the UK.Holiday
I was an a Writers Residency for a month. Its a great place to relax, chill out and be inspired by the wonderful Nubian buildings.
Amazing place for family, friends and couples. It's quiet with no fuss - just pleasant enough to enjoy.Recommend El Gouna to others?

Wonderful, perfect temperatures and warm evenings.
Sometimes a welcome breeze during the day! Lovely for walking to the marina in the evenings, and quite hot in downtown which is less sheltered.Holiday
Fantastic, what a select and lovely place! We will go back and tell all our friends!
There are great places to eat, and very reasonable, the selection of restaurants was varied, all budgets and all cuisines. Even the pizzas taste great!
The people are very friendly and happy, probably the year round sunshine helps!Recommend El Gouna to others?

It was fantastic weather in August, warm with a breeze which was just wonderful.
And at night it is still warm enough to go for a swim at 4am!Holiday

Fantastic dining, world class water sports and the most beautiful views on the red sea coast!
So many wonderful things to do and to be done, a town with wonderful Egyptian architecture.Recommend El Gouna to others?

Great maybe a bit too hot .
Not really for little ones.Sun all year round so can get a tan any time.
5 star plusHoliday
Can't say a bad word about the place or people.
We stayed at the Arena Inn - will be going back!!
Still can't get over having fish swimming around my feet as we walked out in the sea.
