As with the other months, a lack of rain and abundance of sun means El Gouna is an excellent resort for the outdoor type, and in July there is Revolution Day on the 23rd of the month. It's a public holiday to remember the 1952 Revolution, in which the constitutional monarchy of Egypt was overthrown.

The Arena Inn Hotel is easily accessible from downtown on foot, making it easy to walk back after a night of enjoying the restaurants and bars.
