Things to do in Dublin in February

Kilmainham Gaol

If you are a history buff, the Kilmainham Gaol is a really cool place for you to visit- in account of the rich history it is associated with. The KilmainhamGaol is Dublin's bleak old jail, notorious for its harsh treatment of prisoners in the 19thcentury. The tour through the KilmainhamGaol is a very famous one and offers an educational and tragic look into the difficult history of Ireland. A must do tour for information on the background of the 1916 rebellion, the prison also has an attached museum offering a deeper and richer learning experience.

St. Patrick's Cathedral

Founded in 1191, the St. Patrick's Cathedral in Dublin is both the tallest and largest church in Ireland. Best identified as the National Cathedral of the Church of Ireland, the church features a 43 metre spire, with the interiors serving as an awesome treat for the eyes. The cathedral has some experienced and knowledgeable tour guides offering tours and activities to make the experience more vivid and fun. Housing great history and several pieces of historical gems, the St Patrick's Cathedral Church is located in the heart of Dublin and is an incredible place of history, music, art and worship.

Jameson Distillery Bow St.

An Irish whiskey tourist attraction just located off the Smithfield Square in Dublin, the Jameson Distillery offers a great tour with information about the history of the Jameson Distillery and the entire process of making Whiskey. The interiors are gorgeous, and the staff is knowledgeable, accommodation and know their work very well. With lots of practical demonstrations, the distillery tour makes for a great knowledgeable experience. Great if you are a whiskey person, this distillery is definitely worth a visit on your trip to Dublin.
