The aparthotel offers an outdoor swimming pool and self-catering apartments that include a kitchen, lounge and one or two bedrooms. The club boasts a stunning setting as it is surrounded by tropical plants and a volcanic landscape.
Costa Teguise Beach for November
Las Cucharas Beach is one of the main beaches in Costa Teguise. This 640m long beach features pristine clean golden sand and warm turquoise waters, even at this time of year, when sea temperatures can still reach the early 20s! This is also a popular spot for windsurfers due to the slightly stronger winds in this corner of the island. There are a number of amenities and facilities in the area including sun loungers, parasols, restaurants, cafes, convenience stores and more.
Famara Beach is another popular spot for locals and tourists. This golden sand beach is more than 6km wide, making it the longest beach on the island. The only downside is that it can get very windy at this time of year, making it a haven for windsurfers and a welcome relief if the sun gets too intense, although swimming is very dangerous at this beach as the currents can be very strong.
Bars and Restaurants
The Crown is the place to go for traditional British pub food in gargantuan portions. It's one of the newer English pubs in Costa Teguise, and has all the signature traits of such; beers and ciders, fish and chips, and football on the televisions. There's also nightly entertainment. The pub is located close to the Playa Bastian beachfront, so offers spectacular views.
Vesubio is a beautiful restaurant located right by the seafront in Costa Teguise. They serve fresh locally caught seafood such as sardines and prawns, as well as a selection of meats, salads and pizzas to choose from. If you don't know what to pick, go for one of the daily specials, which usually includes some form of fish which is truly delicious. The location of this restaurant is also superb as it overlooks the ocean, which can be extra spectacular at night.
Isla Bonita is one of the most popular Canarian restaurants in Costa Teguise. This affordable eatery is perfect for any penny-pinching traveller. The restaurant serves home cooked food made with local produce. Some of the most popular dishes on the menu are the octopus stew and the roast suckling pig. They also have their very own wine cellar which stocks a variety of local and mainland wines.
Oscar's is a favourite with expats in the area. They serve all the British and Spanish favourites such as steaks, prawns and a variety of delicious desserts. Prices here are very reasonable here, especially if you are buying alcohol with your meal.
Things to do in Costa Teguise in November
With Christmas just around the corner, spend a day popping into the Costa Teguise shops searching for the perfect gift, or even a souvenir of the trip. Avendia de las Playas, the main street running through the town, is adorned with small shops selling all manner of unique trinkets, and there's also an array of sporting shops catering to windsurfers in particular. An alternative option is to visit the craft market held every Friday evening at Pueblo Marinero. The stalls here sell everything from handmade jewellery to leather handbags.
The Fundación César Manrique is a great way to spend an afternoon or morning. The home of famed Spanish artist César Manrique is designed in the contemporary art style he was renowned for, and a selection of his most famous works can be seen in the adjoining gallery. Manrique was born just down the road in Arrecife, but lived at the Fundación during his adult life. The property not only gives a look at Manrique's public life, but also his personal life, and is particularly suited to lovers of modern or abstract art.
Windsurfing is a very popular activity in Lanzarote due to the relatively strong winds throughout the year. Pro Center Antxon Otaegui is one of the most highly rated attractions on Trip Advisor for Costa Teguise and offers windsurfing lessons and equipment rental for the whole year.
