Costa Teguise, Spain, is a purpose built town on Lanzarote's east coast, designed specifically to encourage tourism on the small Canary isle. The hotel also offers a buffet restaurant, gym and grants access to the resort's tennis and squash courts.
If you still can't decide, the Las Caletas Village might be right up your street. There are plenty of beaches to choose from in and around Costa Teguise. Los Charcos Beach is one of the most popular beaches in Costa Teguise. This beach is almost 300m long and features fine white sand and calm clear waters.
However, if you are looking for a quieter beach you may want to go to El Jablillo Beach, which offers a sheltered bay, fine white sand and calm waters. There are a number of amenities and services here including a bus route, restaurants, cafes and more.

If you like the food, pop into the adjoining store to pick up some homemade chutneys and other produce. Can't decide? No problem. Pick up a hamper filled with a range of items stocked in store.
Oscar's is a Belgian owned restaurant located in Costa Teguise. This place serves up a variety of international dishes from the classic Caesar salad to steak and chips. If you have a sweet tooth why not try one of their delicious Belgian waffles with cherries and chocolate sauce. Sounds divine!
On the other hand, if you're looking for a typical tapas head to Casa Luis found down Avenida del Mar. This restaurant offers an array of homemade Spanish and Canarian dishes from grilled sardines to potatoes with mouthwatering Mojo sauce. Tapas is the ideal food if you're looking for a light meal or want to try a variety of different dishes.
Things to do in Costa Teguise in February
El Golfo is a half submerged cone of a volcano located just over a 40 minutes' drive away from Costa Teguise. This beautiful natural attraction is a prime example of the power of Mother Nature. Over time the sea has eroded El Golfo, creating a wall of red and russet colours. At the foot of the crater you will find a striking green lagoon filled will volcanic minerals and micro-organisms that are believed to be unique to Lago Verde. Make sure to bring along your camera to take some stunning pictures.
Did you know that the historic quarter of the island is found in Teguise? Teguise is the old capital of Lanzarote, which lasted up until 1852. Teguise can be found in the centre of the island, so make sure not to mix it up with the resort of Costa Teguise. The town's long history dates back to the pre-Hispanic period and in 1980 it was declared as an Architectural Historic Site. This is the perfect place to spend the day making your way round the various outdoor flea markets and stalls selling crafts, textiles, souvenirs, food and more.

If you are not deterred by the slightly cooler climate at this time of year you should definitely head to the Volcano Surf School for a spot of water sports. This professional surfing school offers a number of trips and lessons all year round from beginners to advanced surfers.
Castillo de San Jose is an impressive fortress located in Arrecife. This historic building was built between 1776 and 1779 to protect Lanzarote's main port from pirate attacks after being commissioned by King Carlos III. Today the fortress houses the International Museum of Contemporary Art.
Dates for the diary
February is a great time for exploring the island's capital, Arrecife, just 10 miles down the coastline. Arrecife welcomes its annual carnival at this time of year which is well worth seeing. The carnival lasts for a whopping 12 days, with different events happening on different days, ranging from traditional music parades and costume competitions to Carnival Queen and Drag Queen crowning ceremonies. The final day of the carnival is celebrated with a spectacular fireworks display which can be seen for miles around.
