May has amazing weather, but a lack of tourists. If you're looking for a quiet getaway in a gorgeous environment, this is the place to go and this is the time to do it. Tenerife's mountainous landscapes, beautiful scenery and quiet roads make it a great place to explore on two wheels. Various tour companies, such as Cycling Tenerife, offer everything from short day trips to multi-day adventures, and from solo rides to group journeys.
A completely different way to enjoy the island's landscapes is going on a camel ride. Camel Park is a camel farm that offers visitors the chance to ride a camel along the beach and through the countryside. They also have a garden and restaurant where you can relax after this unique experience.
Hit the Beach
While the resort doesn't have its own beach, tourists will find plenty of places in the area to enjoy the abundance of sunshine and 23°C-warm afternoons. One such destination is the nearby town of Playa de las Americas, which has no fewer than three gorgeous beachesl Camison, Troya and El Puerito, which is located outside of the town centre. The two former beaches boast a huge number of facilities and services, while the latter is a recommended beach for people looking for peace and quiet.

Bahia Beach Tenerife is located in the town of Palm Mar and is a wonderful beach club. It offers everything from sunbeds on the beach to beach volleyball courts to absolutely delicious food. This is a strongly recommended place to spend your afternoons/evenings sipping cocktails at the beach and finishing off a day in paradise with a sunset dinner.
One of the top restaurants in Los Abrigos, Los Roques Restaurante lies in and overlooks the beautiful harbour. This well-rated dining venue features an inviting and informal atmosphere and serves both lunches and dinners. Their cocktail and wine lists are extensive. If you simply want to nurse a drink while looking out over the water, you can do that too.
The Oasis Pool Bar & Restaurant is situated within the Fairway Village Complex and is a wonderful place to fuel up with a full English breakfast, enjoy a nice lunch and have fish & chips, roast dinners or steaks in the evening. The pool bar regularly features theme nights.
