What's the Weather like in Costa Caleta in May
Temperature
Increasing temperatures and low rainfall make May an ideal time to visit Costa Caleta, part of Spain. The average daily temperature during the month sits at a very nice 21°C (about 69°F). At night, the average daily low drops to around 17°C (about 63°F) which is very mild, while the highs get up to 24°C (around 75°F).
With the highs the resort sees during the day, you should be able to wear short-sleeved shirts, shorts and capris when you're out and about. At night, as the temperatures drop, you will probably want a light jacket or sweater, especially if you'll be closer to the beach where it's windier. All in all though, this is a beautiful month to visit the resort.
Avergae Sunshine Hours
When visiting the island this month, you will get an average of 11 hours of sunshine during the day, providing you with enough time to explore and enjoy time outside. The chance of a sunny day is 49 percent, so pack your sunglasses or hat and bring some sunscreen to protect your skin. The hat can come in handy for the breezes as well, as there is a 75 percent chance of a windy day.
Rainfall
The rainfall amounts drop drastically to around 2mm of rain during the month. The average number of rainfall days is only 1, so even if it does rain, it more than likely will be a light drizzle or a short-lived shower. The chance of rain on any given day is 2 percent and the chance of a cloudy day is 4 percent. Don't worry if you forget your umbrella or poncho; you probably won't need it during your stay.
Average Sea Temperature
Like April, the average sea temperatures stays steady at 19°C (about 66°F). While getting warmer, the ocean water is still fairly cold and so you should take precautions when swimming or doing watersports. Fortunately, the outside air temperature will warm you up when you do get out of the water.
