La Concha

Drive up to the northeast corner of the island and explore La Concha beach. Because of the beautiful setting, La Concha is one of Fuerteventura's most popular beaches, so it can get crowded during the peak tourist season. Still, the white sand, rock pools, calm blue waters and convenient location, make it a great choice to visit.

Beach Party

The Caleta de Fuste town council also hosts a beach party in August, complete with kids' activities and a foam party on the beach. Later in the night, you can dance the night away on the beach with live music and a DJ.

If you want to brush up on your skills while you're there, take private lessons from the on-site academy, with instructors that teach in English, Spanish and German. The courses are open to all ages and experience levels.

Fuerte Fun Center

Thanks to the trade winds that blow through the island this month, Costa Caleta is a great place to try wind-surfing through the Fuerte Fun Center. The center rents all the wind-surfing equipment you need and offers rentals by the hour or for one, four, seven or ten days. If you have no experience, Fuerte Fun Center has courses to teach you the basics and help you get the hang of this popular watersport.
