This month is also a great time to try out flat green bowling at Corralejo Bowls. Similar to regular bowling, flat green bowling takes place on outdoor flat lanes made up of short grass. The people of Corralejo Bowls help newbies learn the basics and offer guidance on how to play the game.
Lobos Island
If you prefer to explore, then take a tour to Lobos Island. You can visit the island via ferry from Corralejo Harbour and the trip takes just 15 minutes. Sail along on a glass bottom boat and view the marine life without having to get wet. Once on the island, you can sunbathe on the sandy beaches, explore the natural landscape or have something to eat in one of the many restaurants.
Dates to Note
As an homage to the season of Epiphany and a continuation of the Christmas festivities, the locals of Corralejo and Fuerteventura celebrate Three Kings Day on January 6. The festivities include a parade through all the towns on the island featuring the Three Kings, who brought gifts to the baby Jesus. The Kings pass out candy and other sweets to viewers along the parade route.
