Attractions include the famous English Market, where you can pause from your wanderings to enjoy freshly brewed coffee or one of the many delicacies to be found there. The Crawford Art Gallery and the Cork City Museum will please any art lovers and if you visit the Shandon Church you can even ring its bells.
Bantry House overlooks Bantry Bay in West Cork. It is truly an example of magnificent architecture and is one of the finest historic houses in Ireland. For those who enjoy watching dog races, the Cork Greyhound Track in Curraheen Park, Bishopstown is a short 10 minute drive from the Cork City Centre. Races take place in the evenings, Thursday through Sunday.
