August is the month when National Heritage Week takes place in Cork.  During the week of August 18th to 26th you can enjoy a great variety of presentations. Most of the events held are free! 

Celebrating traditional music is the event, Masters of Tradition, an Irish Music Festival. Performances will be held at St. Brendan's Church.

Late night entertainment may be enjoyed at Reardens, which has live music every Friday and Sunday and is recipient of best music venue awards, as well as the award for Best Bar in Ireland in 2006.
