Corfu Beaches for December

December brings cold and rain to the beaches, which are not exactly desirable conditions for swimming or other water activities. You can still however enjoy simple walks on the beach and enjoy the views of sand and sea. Check out the southeast of the island, near Korission lagoon for a long stretch of golden sand.

Bars and Restaurants

Another good options is Stevens On the Hill, located in Agios Gordios on the western coastline. They sell a variety of dishes, local and international, from barbecued steak to fresh pizza. Occasionally, the restaurant erupts into simple dance.

Biopor os Restaurant lies on the banks of Lake Korission, about 23 miles  south from Corfu Town. It lies on a 70-acre ecological farm, where fresh produce is collected directly from farm to table. The veranda offers stunning views of the lake and the sea, and is open year long. You can even spend the night in a traditional residence, equipped with its own kitchen.

Things to do in Corfu in December

People in Corfu Town are getting ready to celebrate the festive season in December, but there are still plenty of churches where you can while away the time during the heavy downpours. The most impressive church in Corfu Town is the Cathedral Church of St. Spyridon. It towers above the town and houses the relics of the patron Saint of the island.

Many restaurants host Greek music and dance nights, some that are authentic and some that are not. Performers recite stories and share cultural history. Typically these nights are sold together with food and wine included.
