Anna Hotel Apartment LTD is about 5km away from Coral Bay beach. This hotel does not offer a seaside view but the surrounding banana plantations are quite famous in this part of Cyprus. Medieval Castle of Paphos
There are plenty of exciting and educational activities to partake in around the Coral Bay area. One of the most popular attractions is the Medieval Castle of Paphos. This fort is at the west end of the harbour. This castle has a long history dating back to the 13th century. It was rebuilt by the Ottomans in 1780 and since then has become a Unesco World Heritage Site. It is open all year round, closing at 7:30pm during the summer months. It is only 2.50 to enter and this fee is discounted by 20% for groups of 10 or more. This must-see location is of great cultural important to the Cypriot people.
Odeon Theatre (Pano Odeon Paphos)
History buffs may also enjoy the Odeon Theatre (Pano Odeon Paphos). This is a Roman outdoor amphitheater that is still used to this day for musical and theatrical performances. The theatre was built in the 2nd century and was made from local limestone rocks. This is a great example of ancient roman architecture and is beautifully preserved. Definitely a must-see location!
Avakas Gorge
Just 5km away from Coral Bay is the breathtaking Avakas Gorge. This scenic hike offers a variety of trails and sights. The Avakas Gorge Circular Walk is for the more adventurous hikers as the trail can be hazardous during the rainy season. The gorge is a big rugged but the wildlife and sights make the hike all worth it. There are many paths and different walks available.
