Saint Neophytos Monastery and caves is easily accessible by both car and bus from Coral Bay. Saint Neophytos, or Neophytos the Recluse, lived from 1134 -1214. During his life, he fulfilled many roles including priest, hermit, and monk. He carved out the caves we are able to visit today and established the monastery. Please be quiet and respectful when visiting as Saint Neophytos Monastery is still a functioning today. The main church is dedicated to the Virgin Mary. If you go, be prepared to spend several hours breaking the fresh air and tranquility of the ancient orthodox sanctuary.
Panagia Chrysopoltissa Church
Similarly, the Panagia Chrysopolitissa Church is another lovely landmark near Coral Bay. This church was built in the 13th century, the architecture of this building contributes to its fame.
Saint Paul's Pillar
