This heavy rainfall won't impact every day of the month as some days can enjoy up to nine hours of sunshine each day.  The high temperatures in August can reach up to 32 degrees Celsius.  On the other hand, the low can be 24 degrees for an average daily temperature of 28 degrees.

In 1834, the slaves of the British colonists were liberated in early August.  The Bahamas celebrate with parades, regattas and beach parties.  If you're in the Bahamas during this festival, it will be a joyous celebration with memorable experiences to enjoy.

If you'd prefer a longer stay for your summer holiday, there is a 7 Night Bahamas Cruise on the Grandeur of the Seas vessel.  Disembarking from Baltimore Maryland, a city that can be cheaper to fly into depending on when you book, this cruise stops in Port Canaveral, Florida, Coco Cay and Nassau in the Bahamas.  Three full days are spent cruising at sea with three full days making excursions in the cities listed above

For a relaxing time while you're in Coco Cay, consider booking a floating beach mat.  For a relatively low cost, you can rent a mat that will let you float in the bright turquoise waters all afternoon.
