What's the Weather like in Casablanca in October
October is the true start of autumn in Casablanca, which means bright, sunny days that do not have the threat of the peak high temperatures of the summer. Yet there is still a lot of good weather for all who choose to visit.
Though September weather is still very much part of the summer season, October offers a much fresher feel across the city. And though there are less visitors at this time of the year, the Mediterranean climate ensures the area is still very vibrant.
Average Sunshine Hours
Expect an average of 5 hours of daily sunshine throughout the tenth month of the year, with average temperatures only 4 degrees lower than the peak summer season. This means average temperatures of 19°C across the whole of October, though it is likely to be a touch cooler the closer to November you get.
Rainfall
And while October is not considered part of the rainy season, there is a chance of some precipitation in the month especially compared with the very dry summer season. In October, 6 days of the month are likely to see some rain. But as only 30mm are likely to fall in total, the rain will rejuvenate some of the most barren landscape without making anywhere too damp.
Average Sea Temperatures
But don't think that if you travel in October you are not going to feel the heat in Casablanca. On average, daily highs will reach up to 23°C. And with sea temperatures still very pleasant at around 22°C, the beaches are still full of life.
Temperature
Even minimum temperatures are a very warm 15°C, so it's not even necessary to take an extra layer unless you will be coming home in the early hours. In fact, however you choose to spend your time in Casablanca in October, the weather is forecast to be beautiful.

Things to do in Casablanca in October
Take a Walk
Take a walk to the end of Ain Diab beach to the beautiful tomb of Sidi Abdel Rahman. This monument to one of the most prestigious Moroccan saints is nearly completely surrounded by water. But with the number of families that have now built their homes around the tomb, it is a truly remarkable sight. Even if it is a little too cool to sunbathe on the beach, this is the perfect location for a picnic in the October sun. You can even buy a mint tea or two from the stalls to accompany your food. It is a magnificent photo opportunity for your scrap book and a fabulous way to see a completely different side to the city.
Phare d'el Hank
For many, the best views of Casablanca can only be enjoyed from the top of Phare d'el Hank. This traditional lighthouse sits within the Boulevard de la Corniche and provides daily tours for its wealth of visitors. The local representative can guide you through exactly how the lighthouse has been used over the years, before it became the attraction that it is today. But beware, for those who find steps difficult to climb, the solid marble staircase is the only way to the access the 360° view at the top. But if you can make the climb, the outlook is definitely worth it.
