What's the Weather like in Casablanca in April
April is a time for change in Casablanca. At the beginning of the month, the weather can be somewhat unpredictable, following on from the first month of spring in March. However, as the month progresses, the sun comes out, the rain dries up and Casablanca is an altogether more pleasant place to be.
Average Sunshine Hours
Unlike the 5 hours of daily sunshine in March, April enjoys up to 10 hours of daily sunshine in Casablanca, mainly due to the reduction of cloud cover that occurs.
Average Sea Temperature
However with this change in climate, also comes a reduction in the swell, which means even novice surfers are able to get out on the water and enjoy themselves. Average sea temperatures of 18°C are definitely inviting. But still the strength of the tides makes it much safer to do any serious swimming in the pools in the local hotels and beach clubs. While the sea is usually the place for a quick, refreshing dip while you enjoy the sun.
Temperature
With average peak temperatures of 20°C, it is possible to enjoy some lovely warm weather at this time of the year. But when the sun goes down, you will need an extra layer or a light jacket, especially if you want to take advantage of the varied range of night life across the city.
Minimum temperatures can fall as low as 11°C. And while this is far warmer than Northern Europe at this time of the year, it is still a degree or two lower than neighbouring areas such as Marrakesh.
Rainfall
As the month progresses, the level of rainfall improves on an almost daily basis. And while 7 days of the month are likely to produce up to 40mm of precipitation in total, most rain will fall very quickly and is highly unlikely to spoil a whole day.
The warmer weather and added moisture encourages vegetation and wildlife to come through in April providing a new breath of life across the city.
