Casa de Campo<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
Casa de Campo is a seaside holiday resort, situated on the South East coast of the Dominican Republic. It has a tropical, maritime climate all year-round. Days are often warm and temperatures do not alter greatly. However, the average high and average low temperatures have obvious differences. Rainfall is moderate in Casa de Campo but some months are relatively dry compared to other months during the rainy season.
(May â" October)
The rainy season in Casa de Campo is warm (as well at wet). The months of May until October often have an average high temperature of around a hot 32°C, so packing sun cream with you on your stay in Casa de Campo is absolutely essential. Because the sunâs rays can still pierce through the clouds and badly burn skin, sun cream is still needed even though the rain clouds may make it seem like it is not so much of a risk. The average low temperature tends to hang around a pleasant 22°C, so warm weather can still be enjoyed as you sunbathe.
May is the wettest month of the year with up to 218 millimetres of rainfall altogether, so umbrellas and waterproof clothing really are required until you are able to go indoors to escape the rain! June and October are very wet months as well. July has a nice break from the rain with âonlyâ 148 millimetres of precipitation altogether⦠but still receives enough rain to warrant some waterproofs! September and October are similar â" not as much rain as May, June and October receives, but enough to make a difference and to soak someone through and through!
(November â" April)
The non-rainy season continues to receive pleasant and warm temperatures and runs through the month starting in November until April. Similar to the rainy season, the average high temperature hangs around a hot and sunny 30°C and the average low temperature tends to stay around 20°C.
With Casa de Campo receiving less rain than in previous months, this gives visitors a better chance to sunbathe and top up on a gorgeous sun-kissed tan. The hot weather makes sun cream essential. February is the driest month of the year in Casa de Campo, with only receiving a moderate 51 millimetres of rainfall altogether. March is a relatively dry month as well, with only 53 millimetres of rain. The wettest month of the non-rainy season is November, which receives around 112 millimetres of precipitation. Although rainfall is less running through November until April compared to months in the rainy season, visitors are still advised to check the weather forecast before their arrival and to come prepared for possible tropical storms, no matter what the time of year is. However some rainfall is guaranteed, so remember to come prepared!
Overall, Casa de Campo receives warm, and admittedly often wet, weather. Visitors may choose to sunbathe on Casa de Campoâs beautiful beach, play golf on its fantastic golf course (consistently voted one of the worldâs top 100 golf courses) or stroll around the marina. Indoors, visitors can dine in fine restaurants, browse shops or simply spend time in their hotel or holiday home.
