Once a sleepy fishing village, Carvoeiro is becoming a bustling tourist destination with each passing year. Nestled on the rugged southern coast of Portugal, Carvoeiro offers natural beauty, historic ruins and a relaxed atmosphere to travellers.

The daily average temperature for Carvoeiro in February is approximately 13 °C. The resort still sees some rainfall during the month with an average of 72mm of rain expected. During winter months, the weather is cooler than the rest of the year. However, it's can still be quite warm during the day. Pack a jacket and some cover ups just in case of milder temperatures. It's generally during the night when the temperature dips so if you're going out in the evening then a jacket is highly recommended. The highest ever recorded temperature for Carvoeiro in February has been 23 °C with the lowest being one degree Celsius. However, temperatures are usually within the averages of the month.

Humidity

Humidity for the resort is around 77% but you shouldn't feel any discomfort. The weather at this time of the year is ideal for exploring the area.

Another beautiful hotel is the Rocha Brava Village Resort. Located less than two miles away from Carvoeiro, this complex offers 100 rooms with bathroom, washing machine, kitchen equipment and some have sea views. Guests can make use of the three swimming pools, four tennis courts and on-site gym. There's also a restaurant, bar, coffee shop, supermarket and free Wi-Fi and parking. Located on the top of a cliff in stunning maintained gardens, it's close to several attractions with free buses travelling to the beach and Carvoeiro three times per day.

 

Bars And Restaurants

The cooler temperatures in February may mean that many travellers aren't visiting Carvoeiro. However, despite it not being peak tourist season, many restaurants will still be fairly busy. At Ele and Ela, there is a buzz all rear round. This small restaurant has outstanding meals and you can dine in a romantic and intimate setting. It's a little more expensive than what you would normally expect in Portugal but you won't be disappointed with your dining experience.

A newer addition to Carvoeiro is Hexagone Restaurant. Serving Mediterranean dishes, this spacious and modern establishment has a wood burning fireplace to warm up a cold night while you enjoy your meal or a glass of wine. From salads to meat dishes, there are lots of options for the majority of tourists to relish. After dinner, you can have a cocktail or other beverage from the bar. You can make a night of it or head off to one of the many bars in the area.
