Caleta de Fuste is located on the island of Fuerteventura, Canary Islands. It is a beautiful horseshoe shaped beach with imported sand on the beach. The weather is not constant throughout the year and it can be quite windy at times. Caleta de Fuste is characterised by dry, sunny summers and thunderous showers in the winter. The temperature throughout the year remains pleasant without going too high or dipping too low.
Temperature
Summer, during the months of June, July, August and September are mostly warm to hot. June sees an average temperature of 23°C (73°F), July has an average temperature of 24°C (75°F), August an average temperature of 25°C (77°F) and September an average temperature of 24°C (75°F). The average high temperatures are 26°C (79°F) for June, 27°C (81°F) for July, 28°C (82°F) for August and 27°C (81°F) for September. Average low temperatures are 19°C (66°F) for June, 21°C (70°F) for July, 22°C (72°F) for August and 21°C (70°F) for September. So there is not much difference between daytime and night-time. It is not too hot and a great time to visit.
Sea Temperature
The sea is lovely and warm with average sea temperatures for June and July 21°C (70°F) while August and September see an average sea temperature of 22°C (72°F). Rainfall is virtually non-existent, so your vacation will not be marred by rain. In the month of September, there may be one day or so of rain, and humidity is high at about 71% to 75%. The sun shines for ten to eleven hours a day so you can make the most of your vacation time. The tide tends to come in rather quickly so it's important to be careful when swimming or sunbathing. Caleta de Fuste is ideal for families with its relaxing atmosphere. It also has a lot to offer by way of sailing, diving and boat trips.
The season of autumn runs through the months of October and November and is still warm with average temperatures of 23°C (73°F) in October and 21°C (70°F) in November. Average highs reach 26°C (79°F) in October and 24°C (75°F) in November. Average lows go down to 20°C (68°F) in October and 18°C (64°F) in November. The sea remains warm with an average sea temperature of 22°C (72°F) in October and an average sea temperature of 21°C (70°F) in November. There could be about three days of rainfall a month but this is not heavy, with only about eight to ten millimetres, and humidity is at about 72% to 75%, with eight to nine hours of sunshine per day. The weather is still quite fine and this is still a good time to visit.

December sees average highs of 22°C (72°F) and average lows of 16°C (61°F). January and February stay mild with average highs of 21°C (70°F) and average lows of 15°C (59°F). The sea is not too cold with average sea temperatures for December at 20°C (68°F), January at 19°C (66°F) and February at 18°C (64°F), but it would be too chilly outside to swim. The evenings are cool so you will need a light jacket.
Rain
The average rainfall varies during these months with December seeing about three days of rain, January having rainfall of about 16mm and February recording the highest rainfall of the year with 20mm. The humidity levels are between 70% -74%. The sun shines daily for about eight to nine hours a day.

The months of March, April and May are not too warm, with average temperatures for March at 19°C (65°F), average temperatures for April at 20°C (67°F) and average temperatures for May at 21°C (69°F).. It is pleasant and a good time to visit. The average high temperatures are 22°C (72°F) for March, 23°C (73°F) for April and 24°C (75°F) for May. The average low temperatures are 15°C (59°F) for March, 16°C (61°F) for April and 17°C (63°F) for May. The sea is still too cool to swim with average sea temperatures of 18°C (64°F) in March, 19°C (66°F) in April and May, but you can take advantage of all the water sports that are on offer. During this period, there may be a few days of rain with averages of about 11mm for March, 16mm for April and only 2mm for May. The average humidity is between 69% -71%, with sunshine for a good ten to eleven hours a day.
The beach at Caleta de Fuste had the golden sand imported specifically for the purpose. It is also called Caleta, El Castillo or more recently Costa Caleta. It is warm throughout the year.

Weather hazards
One weather hazard that can occur in Caleta de Fuste is a Saharan Sand Storm, which are some of the largest in the world. These are most common in the late winter and early spring and last various time periods. The worst sandstorms can last several weeks. Most are much shorter and nothing to worry about. You will lose visibility so if you are driving make sure to pull over, if walking, cover your nose and mouth. Those with respiratory issues such as asthma should make sure to stay out of the dust storm as much as possible as it will affect your breathing. Depending on the severity of the storm, flights and tourist activities can get cancelled and some restaurants and bars will close shop for the day.
