What's the Weather like in Calella in February

Temperature

February makes for the ideal time to experience everything the beautiful resort of Calella has to offer. The average temperature at this time of year sits at a mild 8°C, however during the hottest parts of the month, and indeed during the peak sun hours of the afternoon, the average high temperature can reach a very warm 14°C; as you can see, these mild winter temperatures are typical of a Mediterranean climate, which is experienced in this part of the country.

Evening lows can reach a very chilly 2°C, and as with January, it's simply a case of taking a coat or jacket with you in case you are out when the cooler temperatures arrive this is typically around late afternoon, usually around the 4/5pm mark, and into the early evening. To have a good night's sleep, you will probably need heating or a few blankets, but come morning, the sun and temperatures will return.

Things to do in Calella in February

Las Ramblas

Whilst Calella certainly has enough to keep you occupied during the off season, you should also take advantage of its close proximity to the huge, cosmopolitan city of Barcelona. Its famous Las Ramblas with its pavement café vibe, and street entertainers make this is a definite must visit for first time visitors. Do be aware of pickpockets in this area however!

Bulevard Rosa

Of course, the famous cathedral is another must do; it's advisable to head there early, to avoid queues. Signs of Gaudi's work can be found all over the city, so art and architecture lovers will adore this huge metropolis. Of course, there are also many shopping opportunities to enjoy too, such as Bulevard Rosa, where you will find all manner of shops to bash your credit card a little!

Nou Camp

If you are treating the footy fan in your life to a Valentine's treat, then the Nou Camp has to be the ideal destination. Whilst you might struggle to find tickets for a game, you can certainly head for a tour of the stadium, which is quite the sight to enjoy, whether you're a fan of the game or not.
