What's the Weather like in Cala d'Or in September
Overlooking the crystal clear Mediterranean Sea, Cala d'Or, a small seaside resort town on the southeast coast of Majorca, the largest island in the archipelago of the Balearic Islands, Spain, offers something for everyone. Temperatures remain warm in September, reaching afternoon highs of 26°C, and only dropping to a low of around 16°C overnight. Both the average daytime highs and nighttime lows tend to decrease in the course of the month. The average high drops from 30°C to 26°C, while the average low falls from 19°C to 16°C. Temperature-wise, September is definitely one of the best times to visit Cala d'Ort is the fourth warmest month of the year, after the previous three summer months of June, July and August. In September, the average sea temperature is higher than the air temperature. It averages a comfortable 24°C, ideal for refreshing dips in the Mediterranean Sea.

Rainfall skyrockets in September compared with the previous summer months, with 50mm on averageore than double the 20mm of August. Although it is not enough to interfere with plans or cause travel disruption, this sudden change in precipitation often takes visitors by surprise. It must be said, though, that 50mm is not much, especially when taking into account the weather in other European destinations in September. September has only 7 days with rainfall, which means that there also are 23 days without any precipitation whatsoever. That being said; the increase in the chance that rainfall occurs is impossible to ignore. In the beginning of the month, the chance of rainfall is only 22%, but at the end, it has risen to 33%. The most common types of rainfall are thunderstorms and moderate rain, respectively occurring on 49% and 27% of the days with precipitation.

You don't need a lot of money to secure a booking at Hostal La Ceiba. The hotel offers two, three and four berth rooms, ideal for families or groups, all with en-suite bathrooms. Cala Ferrera
Cala Ferrera lies next to smaller Cala Serena and is one of the largest of the five beaches in Cala d'Or. This beautiful beach is covered with fine sand and has warm crystal-clear water. The area around the beach is developed, but it does have Blue Flag status. All possible beach amenities are present, including a supermarket, hotels, showers and toilets, parasols, and a restaurant and bar. Protected by surrounding rocks, Cala Ferrera is a great beach for snorkelling as well.

Visitors who like fish and seafood are encouraged to go for dinner at Acuarius Restaurant. This excellent restaurant is said to serve the best paellas in Cala d'Or. Overlooking the town's marina, Acuarius Restaurant is a great place for a delicious night out with friends or family.
Things to do in Cala d'Or in September
Vall d'Or Golf
Pack a good golfing umbrella and head to Vall d'Or Golf for a round or two at a course ranked among the top 50 in all of Europe. 18 holes costs from 85 to 112 euros for adults and from 43 to 56 euros for children and the course is open all year round. The clubhouse has a swimming pool, driving range and restaurant, so why not make a full day of it? The course is located just north of the town centre, near Felanitx.
