Bodegas Las Cigarrera
Head north of the central city to Sanlucar de Barrameda for a visit at the Bodegas Las Cigarrera. The vintners here specialize in making the regionally famous sherry and manzanilla wines. Zahara de la Sierra
If you do get away from the port, into the nearby country, consider a visit to the Zahara de la Sierra, a stunning white village in the hills of Andalucía. As you make your approach from the local highway you'll first see a castle raised high on a rocky peak. Nearby is a gorgeous lake with turquoise waters. The ridge below the castle is dotted with the whitewashed houses that the region is famous for. Make your way to the town's Plaza Mayor where you can enjoy a meal and find the best views of the region.
