What's the Weather like in Cadiz in October

Temperatures drop in October, and rainfall increases, as Cadiz moves into autumn. High season is over, but this lovely city still has plenty to offer for a holiday in the shoulder season. If you want the best of seaside beauty with historic sights and lively culture, than this city on the Atlantic deserves consideration.

Temperature

The average temperature this month is a moderate 20°C. This is extremely pleasant weather for a day strolling through the winding, cobblestone paths of the Old Town, as you take in the historic sights. Daily highs may rise to an even more comfortable 23°, while nightly lows swing down to a brisk 17°C.

Rainfall

Winds and cloud coverage increase this month, as the city is subject to 67mm of accumulated precipitation over the course of 6 rainy days throughout the month. If you require less rain and more sunshine for your ideal holiday, you should plan your visit earlier in the year, during the months of July and August, when rainfall is extremely rare and daily sunlight hours are at their annual high.

Average Sunshine Hours

This month you should expect an average of 9 daily sunlight hours. That's quite a bit more than the city's inland neighbour, Seville, which only receives an average of 7. When you get a little further off the coastline, temperatures also grow more volatile. High and low temperatures in Seville range from 26°C to 14°C respectively.

Average Sea Temperature

The average ocean temperature for the month is 21°C. While this will be warm enough for swimmers who enjoy slightly frigid waters, those who prefer a more mild swimming experience should plan to visit in the mid-summer months.

With many beautiful beaches to explore, a large attraction of the city will always be the coastline. However, this coastal city has plenty of history and culture to continually attract visitors, even as the climate moves away from optimal beach weather.
