Shop at the Marina
Beyond a hub for nightlife, dining and ocean adventures, the Cabo San Lucas Marina is also a great place for shopping. Stroll the boardwalk to check out an eclectic range of shops. Enjoy Playa Empacadora
Centrally located but not as crowded as more-popular sands, Playa Empacadora is a great place to do some snorkelling. Ease into the calm waters and swim to a small reef where you can spot angelfish, parrot fish, puffers, and octopus. Empacadora is also a good spot to set off on ocean tours, with boats departing for Land's End, Cascadas Beach and the shores of Médano.
Watch Whales from the Beach
During whale season from mid-December to mid-April you'll see numerous boat tours heading out to get close to migratory whales. But you can see them from shore. Médano Beach is a great place to spot gray and humpback whales as they pass the Baja coast. To get closer to whales without committing to a full tour, you can hop in a water taxi for about $10 USD.
Adventures on Lovers Beach
While ocean currents can be strong on the Pacific side of Lovers Beach, the calm bay side is perfect for swimming and snorkelling. You won't find many people there in the morning, making it a great place for secluded strolls in the sand. Backed by dramatic granite rocks, the picturesque beach is only accessible by water taxi.
