Cabo San Lucas Beach for June

Playa El Médano

Médano Beach is the beating heart of beach life in Cabo San Lucas. A long stretch of sand is backed by bars, restaurants, shops and kiosks renting equipment for watersports. You can kayak, parasail and rent a Waverunner to take out into the calm ocean water. You can also swim in roped-off areas, though no lifeguards are on duty. Médano is also a popular spot for venturing to other shores in water taxis.

Bars and Restaurants

Do you like to enjoy fine dining with your toes in the sand? Perhaps you prefer solid pub grub at a lively bar or vegetarian options at a trendy cafe. However you desire to dine, Los Cabos has dozens of eateries that are ready to serve.

El Farallon

A high-end eatery in the cliffs of the Resort at Pedregal, El Farallon has some of the most sought-after seafood selections in Cabo San Lucas. Fresh-from-the-sea offerings are presented on a bed of shaved ice before they're crafted into delectable dishes. Choose from locally caught sea bass, yellowtail and parrot fish for dining on an oceanfront terrace. Tempt your palate with a trio of appetizers that accompany all meals and include crab and chipotle soup and an heirloom tomato salad with panela cheese. Have you saved room for dessert? Decadent Mexican doughnuts are not to be missed. El Farallon is open daily from 5 pm to 11 pm.

Neptunos

Much like its namesake aquatic god, Neptunos focuses on wonders of the sea. The relaxed open-air eatery is set back from the more crowded tourist scene and welcomes with an eclectic decor fashioned largely from refurbished pallets. After you've crunched on chips with a variety of salsas, you can't miss with a tuna ceviche appetizer or coconut shrimp. Continue with shrimp aguachiles, fried snapper with garlic or an octopus skillet. Why not indulge in a mango margarita during your seafood feast? Neptunos is open from Wednesday to Monday from 1 pm to 10 pm and closed on Tuesday.

Crazy Lobster Bar & Grill

Famed for its affordable fare, Crazy Lobster Bar & Grill is a popular stop for seafood. A full lobster-tail dinner will set you back less than $20. Shrimp fajitas cost even less. But it's not all about seafood. You can also order moderately priced steak platters and barbecued ribs. With happy hour specials that run from 10 am to 6 pm you can get beers and tequila shots at bargain prices. Crazy Lobster is open Monday to Saturday from 9 am to 10 pm and on Sunday from 1 pm to 10 pm.

Doggy Style

With a name like Doggy Style, you can expect the restaurant to be a bit cheeky. Double entendre aside, the joint by Medano Beach serves homemade hot dogs, Italian sausages, and bratwurst with a variety of tasty toppings. They also offer build-your-own gourmet burgers, hand-cut fries and milkshakes in tropical fruit flavours. A nod to the Canadian owners, Doggy Style also specialises in poutine. They're open from Monday to Saturday from 3 pm to 11 pm.

Things to do in Cabo San Lucas in June

Dine at the Marina

The waters of the Sea of Cortez are abundant with fish, and fishermen bring their daily hauls to the marina. That makes it an excellent spot for fresh seafood. Dine at time-honoured haunts such as Lorenzillo's lobster house. Savour signature seafood at Solomon's Landing or the Baja Lobster Company. If you're not feeling like fish, the marina also has an array of restaurants that serve a range of cuisine.

Kayak in the Sea of Cortez

One of the best ways to explore the Sea of Cortez is by kayak. Glide along the coast and visit tucked-away shores that boat tours can't reach. You can paddle off solo, in a kayak for two, or join a tour. Organized outings depart from the marina with stops at El Arco and Pelican Rock.

Take Off on a Waverunner

For a thrilling time out on the water, rent a jet ski or Waverunner. On Médano Beach, you can rent both and blast off for cruises through the Sea of Cortez that hit 80 kilometres per hour. Enjoy your high-speed trip along the coast of Los Cabos alone or on a Waverunner for two. Rentals are from 30 minutes to hour-long rides.

Fly High With Parasailing

There's almost no better way to get a birds-eye view of the coast than parasailing. Depart in a motorboat from the harbour and soon you'll be soaring through the air at an altitude of 600 feet. Take in magnificent views over Médano Beach and Land's End. Those not looking to do any high-flying fun can skim along the water during their parasailing adventure.
