Buzios; also known as Arma§£o dos Bºzios is a small resort town located in the state of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. With more than twenty white sand beaches, the beautiful peninsula of Buzios is recognised for its tropical/equatorial climate. Travellers to the region will be pleased to know that virtually all year round the Buzios climate is indeed welcoming. A detailed weather report on the town is likely to show up under a region of cloud, this is usually an outcome of relative humidity and the minority actually result in rainfall. There is however on average a total of 254 days of sunshine in Buzios each year. The annual average temperature is 26ºC, but this can vary greatly depending on wind speed, wind direction, relative humidity and of course the time of year.
Seasons
During the summer months the weather is hot and moist and heavy rains are a common characteristic throughout this season. The highest average temperature during summer reaches 29ºC. On the other hand, the winter months see temperatures dropping slightly with the highest average temperature being 19ºC and the lowest 12ºC. The Buzios climate sees little alteration, and when travellers holiday to Buzios itâs more a matter of choosing between action and crowds, or having a serene vacation with ample space on the beach. Tourists who want avoid the crowds and spend time soaking up the sunlight are best to travel between the months of March to June or September to November. Holidaying out of this time (peak season) does guarantee Buziosâ supreme weather forecasts, but the ratio of tourists to every local is four to one.
Sea Temperatures and Rainfall
The majority of rainfall in Buzios is usually intermittent, but the area is branded to fall victim to unexpected storms which can last several days. During this time wind speed can go up over 50 km/h and the wind direction just tends to come from ubiquitously at once. For most of the year however the Buzios weather is clement, with relative humidity that is tolerable to most Westerners. The temperature of the water throughout the coast will be quite varied, especially if youâre on the east coast instead of the west, but is generally in the range of 18 ºC to 21ºC.
The beaches on the Eastern coast experience a fairly long high tide. Information about tidal range can be found at any surf shop, tourist information booth or at the reception of most hotels. There is generally no âbadâ time to visit Buzios, as the Buzios weather is typically calm and warm all-year round. However, violent storms can come out of nowhere and there is actually no valid way in predicting them. Tourists need to make sure they pack at least a rain coat (no need for an umbrella, it will simply get shattered by the wind) in the unlikely event of an unexpected storm.
