August is the warmest month of the year for Bruges and the height of the tourist season. Finally, not only can all heavy winter gear be left at home, but this is also one of the best times of the year to go into the nearby ocean for a quick dip. Beach in Bruges for August

Koksijde-Oostduinkerke

Temperatures in August are the warmest they will be all year and as a result, this is a popular time to hit the beach. One of the more popular beaches is Koksijde-Oostduinkerke. This is one of the only places where visitors can watch shrimp fishermen on horseback. There are also plenty of other things to do at the beach including exploring the nearby nature reserves and small shops that are located just inland.
