July is one of the warmest months to spend in Brittany, France. Temperatures during the evening may require a light coat for those who get cold easily, but during the day temperatures can reach a high of 21°C. Lows may drop to a still comfortable 14°C, with a daily average working out to 18°C. This is definitely summer weather, so it's time to make the most of it.
Even the sea water temperature has started to climb towards a more reasonable 18°C, meaning it is very similar to the temperatures of the outside air. Swimming along the Emerald Coast is best during the afternoon when the temperatures are at their highest. In other words, you will know it is the best time to swim when you are already feeling warm! With 9 hours of sunshine a day, you should have no problem fitting in everything you need to do in daylight. Plus, you will have plenty of chances to top up on your tan! As ever, it's important to keep one eye on the weather forecast, as you never know when the heavens might open. There are around 12 days in the month on which it might rain, with a total of 38mm of water coming down across those days. Rain falls less in August while maintaining the same daily temperature, making this a more popular month for visits but by consequence, a busier one. Either way, bring a raincoat with you on your holiday, but don't expect to be using it every day. You might even get lucky and see a whole week without any rain!
