June becomes extremely warm in Bled as summer arrives.

Daytime temperatures now climb to a very warm 24°C and fall no lower than 12°C in the evenings.

Bled is extremely popular at this time of year, so accommodation will be more expensive and harder to come by than during the low season.

Due to the pleasant weather, this is a time of year when many people flock here to explore the beautiful countryside.

Triglav National Park is right next to Bled and, whether you are an experienced hiker or just wish to wander through the many peaks and valleys, you will not be disappointed. The numerous glacial lakes and waterfalls here all sit in the shadow of Mount Triglav, Slovenia's highest mountain.

Bled Lake is the main attraction in the area and you can experience its beauty more fully with a boat tour around its shores. There are also water sports available on the lake.

Above the lake is the 1000 year old Bled Castle, which houses a fascinating museum as well as a forge, herbal gallery and wine cellar.

Wine connoisseurs can attend one of the regular tasting sessions held at the castle, which is also available for functions such as weddings.

Bled Festival also kicks off at the end of the month. This classical festival comprises a variety of small recitals and large scale concerts held at various locations around Bled, including the gothic surroundings of the castle.

With the capital city of Ljubljana only a 40 minute drive away, the opportunity to visit Europe's smallest capital is too good to miss. Here you can admire the beautiful architecture, visit one of the many art galleries and museums, and sample the many bars and restaurants of the old city.
