The nearby capital city of Ljubljana is perfect at this time of year. Winding streets and old buildings are simply magical, and the tiny bars and cafes are a perfect way to while away those winter blues. There is a wealth of shops and restaurants, and culture vultures can also visit the many museums and art galleries dotted around.
