September is the penultimate month of summer in Biarritz and visitors will discover that the beaches are likely to be a little less crowded as the weather begins to cool off.

It's not too hard to find a good spa centre in Biarritz.

If the beach becomes tiresome or too crowded, there are quite a few other things to see. There are a handful of really nice museums that are worth checking out.

And of course there are the many restaurants and bistros that offer up some of the best cuisine on the French coast. Visitors are encouraged to sample as many of these small, out of the way cafés as possible in order to get the real taste of Biarritz as the locals do it.
