What's the weather like in Bermuda in June?
Rainfall
June is the beginning of the hot months in Bermuda and also the start of the hurricane season. Temperatures are increasing in June to the hotter months of July and August. For those not wanting to travel too far, the climate is similar to that of Istanbul in Turkey in June. Bermuda experiences average high and low temperatures of 23°C to 28°C and average temperatures of 26°C during the day. The highest recorded temperature in this resort at this time of year was a hot 32°C while the lowest was 18°C. When the days get too hot, jump in the water and have a swim in the sea. Water temperatures have risen to a very pleasant 26°C and this is the best way to cool off in the heat and humidity.
Sunshine Hours
The length of each day is fairly constant through June with sunrise at around 6.10 am and sun set at 8.20 pm. Make the most of the lighter mornings with a walk on the beach or an early morning dip in the sea or enjoy the longer evenings relaxing with drinks watching the sunset. Winds are often from the south and are a gentle to fresh 5 mph to 15 mph with occasional gusts of up to 24 mph.

Beaches in Bermuda in June
Warwick Long Bay
For the longest beach on the island, go to Warwick Long Bay on the south east of Bermuda. This is a lovely long half mile stretch of pink sandy beach that is more exposed to the southerly winds than other beaches, but is protected somewhat by the reefs offshore. This is usually a quiet beach and is popular with local joggers and walkers. At the back of the beach is scrubland and bush which is connected by a path to the other southerly beaches including Horseshoe Bay. There are public bathrooms here and seasonal food vendors. The bus passes this beach and there is parking and a children's playground behind the beach.

Wahoos Restaurant
Located waterfront at St Georges and with panoramic views over the harbour, Wahoos restaurant serves delicious Bermudian cuisine in a casual and relaxed setting. There is a wide selection on the menu to suit all the family, and the specialities are the locally caught fish and seafood that includes their award winning seafood chowder, as well as lobster during lobster season and pasta specials. This is a good choice for the whole family or a romantic dinner overlooking the moonlit harbour on a warm June evening.

Things to do in Bermuda in June
Palmetto House
If it gets too hot and sticky in June head indoors to the beautiful Palmetto House. Built in 1700, this is a great example of Bermudian architecture with its grand staircase, exposed wooden beams and attractive gardens. Located on the north shore of the island in Devonshire Parish, this house has been repaired and restored to keep its original state. Although public access is limited as it is a private dwelling, it is possible to visit on Thursdays.
Snorkel Bermuda
Now summer has arrived it is time to get into the water. Go for a snorkel with Snorkel Bermuda and go out on their boat to some great snorkelling spots in the crystal clear sea. They will take you to snorkel at two of the most popular shipwreck sites in Bermuda at depths of 15 to 20 feet and easily viewed from the surface. Running every day, weather permitting, and lasting 2 hours with over one hour in the water, this is fun for all swimmers during their holiday.
