Maxx Royal Belek Golf and Spa is one of the most luxurious hotels in Turkey.  They offer a range of accommodation from a standard suite to the king suite and a variety of villas that are perfect for holidays with family or friends.  The resort is situated right on the beach and has its own private beach complete with piers and cabanas with private butler service.  There are a number of pools including heated pools, indoor pools, infinity pools, lap pools and children only pools.  The resorts own water park opens for the season in April and provides water slides for all ages.  The hotel caters for children with a variety of activities including Maxxiland( a funfair with slides and rides for 1 12 year olds),  Dinoland, Gamein video games, smiling babies for 0-3 year olds, mini club for 4-7 year olds and junior club for 8-12 year olds.  In the suites you will find mini-robes and slippers for kids and anything you could want for a baby from a bath tub to a potty. 

Regnum Carya Golf and Spa resort is a five star luxury resort on the edge of the beach. The focus in this hotel is on decadent luxury with suites offering golf or ocean views. Each suite has a lounge and private terrace.  The hotel offers 6 different restaurants, 8 bars and 5 cafes.  The hotel has a 120m private beach with cabanas and sun loungers. There are a number of pools including a water world with 7 slides. They have kid clubs for every age level and activities are arranged to suit their needs on a daily basis. The hotel has nightly shows and parties including an adults only Moulin Rouge style show.

 

Simply Caddie Beach Restaurant offers some of the best views in Belek and is the number one restaurant on TripAdvisor for the town.  The setting is peaceful with a large deck offering views of the beach. The menu is varied offering Japanese, German, Italian and Mediterranean dishes. The house specialities include sushi, jumbo garlic prawns and stroganoff. They offer a wine list with a small selection of local wines and a larger selection of French wines. Prices are higher than in most Turkish restaurants but very reasonable by European standards. Deniz Restaurant  is a great local restaurant offering Turkish food . This place offers a nice change from the international style of restaurants found in the hotels. You will eat among locals and get to see the other side of Belek. The host Yunus and his wife Dana are very friendly and will guide you through the menu.  The shepherds kebab is the most famous dish and is served with flat breads and mashed potato.  The garlic shrimp, Turkish casserole and steaks are highly recommended on TripAdvisor.  You can eat outside on a terrace with a view towards the mountains or inside in quaint country style dining area.  Deniz is located at Akdeniz Mah. The ruins of Perge are a short drive from Belek and a visit to them makes a great day trip. Perge was an ancient Anatolian city. The site has been excavated by the University of Istanbul since 1946 and large sections of the site are now open to the public. One of the most important sites is the theatre which is very well preserved. The heater would have once held 12000 spectators and had numerous entrances as well as shops, seating areas, a stage and orchestra section. You can wonder around the site on your own or go there on an organised tour. There is a lot to see including the old market, streets, the acropolis, necropolis, city walls and Roman Baths. Allow a whole day to see most of the ruins.

A ten minute drive from Belek you will find the Duden waterfalls. The falls are surrounded by a peaceful park where you can picnic, look at the gardens or just relax. You can walk around the falls and take photographs of the waterfalls, river and the view towards the ocean. There are a number of walkways and you can easily spend an hour exploring the area and longer if you want to relax and enjoy the view.

Osmanli Hamam is found in the centre of Belek and is a traditional Turkish Hamam. You can experience a proper Hamam which involves an exfoliation, sauna, steam room and an extreme cleansing. You will never feel as clean in your life as you will after a hamam but some people don't enjoy it as you do get pushed around and it can leave you feeling bruised. Be aware that this is not a peaceful experience. The hamam offers a variety of extras such as sport or oil massages. The basic experience is 25Euros and includes a 20 minute massage. The staff will push you for upgrades and everything including a drink of water is extra.
