What's the Weather Like in Bali in August
Temperature
The weather in Bali in June is very similar to that of May, and August maintains this trend. The average temperature this month is 27°C (80°F), the average low is 22°C (72°F), and the average high is 31°C (88°F). If these temperatures look familiar, it is because they are the same for both May and June. Although Bali has a tropical climate that is prone to rain storms and humidity, the temperature levels are actually very consistent.
The month of August does not vary much from the beginning to the end. The average daily temperature is 27°C (80°F) throughout the entire month, with lots of sun, virtually no chance of rain, and a constant, cool breeze that is especially helpful on warmer days. The lowest ever recorded temperature in Bali in August is 18°C (64°F), and the highest ever recorded temperature is 42°C (108°F).
Sunshine
August in Bali produces the highest average of daily sunshine, coming in at 10 hours. Along with the most sun throughout the year, August also sees the least amount of rainfall. On average it rains just 40mm over the course of only three days. This month is the peak of the "dry season" in Bali, so lots of sun and hardly any rain makes sense.
Sea Temperature
August is a great time to enjoy Bali's beaches and go swimming, as the average sea temperature this month is 27°C (81°F). This is very warm water that can be relished by everyone, without having to get out quickly due to becoming cold.
Humidity
Although the average temperatures this month are the same as the two prior, the humidity levels drop. The average humidity in August is 70% which is slightly uncomfortable, but with the cool breezes that occur in August, the humidity is often noticeable. These are some of the lowest humidity totals throughout the year.

Hotels for Bali in August
Desa Seni
Instead of staying in a typical hotel or villa, stay at the Desa Seni, which is described as a "village resort." The difference here is that the rooms are original, antique homes made from wood, and have been imported to Bali from all over Indonesia. The rooms are decorated with original artifacts, further enhancing the unique and cultural feel.
They offer rooms for single travelers, one-bedrooms, two-bedrooms, suites, and shared houses with private bedrooms and bathrooms but a shared living space. Desa Seni also has a wellness center offering acupuncture, massages, and other body therapies. There is an on-site restaurant serving local cuisine. This village resort is about a 40 minute drive from Ubud.
Beaches for August for Bali
Kutuh Beach
If you are looking for a beach with some privacy, head to Kutuh Beach. It is a white sand beach with virtually no tourists and apparently is the way beaches used to look before they were turned into resorts for visitors. In order to reach the beach, you can drive or walk through a huge man-made rock quarry, which looks out of place.
Once on the beach, you will likely encounter seaweed farmers and fishermen sailing in the water, but as there aren't many facilities or accommodation, you might be the only people on the beach and will have to make your own fun. There is a restaurant that offers food and drink, along with renting sunbeds and umbrellas however.
As there aren't other accommodations close by, it is suggested to eat here as well if you are hungry. Swimming is good at Kutuh Beach, as the waves are small and the water is calm. The surrounding views are marvelous as there are huge cliffs that end right at the water. Kutuh Beach is located about a 56 minute drive from Ubud and there is parking available.
Green Bowl Beach
Green Bowl Beach is a white sand beach that is known mostly by surfers because it has some of the best surfing in all of Bali. While the surfing is great, the water can still be enjoyed by non-surfers if they stay close to shore and avoid the big waves. Getting to the beach can be difficult, as it requires walking down hundreds of steps lining the cliff face, but the walk is worth it.
There are caves at the base of the steps that are home to bats (don't worry they sleep during the day) and monkeys. The scenery is amazing here as well due to the lush, green plant life that grows on top of caves and cliffs, covering the sandy beach. Located on the beach is Finn's Beach Club, serving both local and international cuisine, as well as a variety of drinks. Green Bowl Beach is located about a 53 minute drive from Ubud.
