Thalassa Municipal Museum of the Sea
The Thalassa Municipal Museum of the Sea is the resort's only museum. It focuses on the sea and on the influence it has (had) on the history and development of Cyprus. It showcases everything from marine animals, such as dolphins, sea birds and turtles, to ancient fossils of shells, corals and fish. Also on display are archaeological remains of all historical periods in the history of Cyprus, from the Neolithic period to the period when the island was ruled by the Venetians. Additionally, there are a cafeteria, an amphitheatre for shows, plays and concerts, and a gift shop.
Ayia Napa Harbour
Even though rain and/or clouds are possible in January, it still is a good time to go for strolls. The Ayia Napa Harbour is a massively popular part of the town, filled with restaurants, bars, fishing boats, yachts and a beach.
