Temperature
There is no doubt that December is much cooler than most other months in Ayia Napa, but it is by no means uncomfortable. Horse Riding
In the absence of water sports and beach weather, there's still plenty to see and do. Horse riding is a popular option in Ayia Napa and a great way to explore the area. Or you could hire a bike and go mountain biking through the area.
Troodos Mountains
The Troodos Mountains are a famous mountain range in Cyprus and well worth a visit. Located in the centre of the island, this is the largest mountain range in the countryell-worth exploring. This area of valleys, ancient villages, mountain peaks and forests makes for an excellent (multi)day trip from Ayia Napa. The villages that are hidden away in the forests on the mountain flanks are home to the famous painted churches of Cyprus, ten of which were declared World Heritage by UNESCO. As well as traditional villages, Byzantine churches and monasteries to explore, there are also a number of walking trails that allow you to see the region and its nature from up close.
