What's the Weather Like in Auckland in March
While destinations in the Northern Hemisphere are approaching spring and the hope of warmer weather, Auckland, located in the Southern Hemisphere on New Zealand's North Island, is experiencing its last days of summer. March is typically a month of mild weather, but with increased precipitation. Waiheke Island Beach

The ferry to Waiheke Island only takes 35 minutes from central Auckland, and it is worth it to soak up the sun on one of summer's final days. The beach is also safe for swimming, and given that the sea temperature remains warm throughout the month of March, it can be the perfect month for a dip.

The Coast to Coast Walkway begins in Waitemata Harbour, and after a few hours, walkers find themselves in Manukau Harbour facing a different sea. The walk is easily accessible by public transport.
North Shore Coastal Walk
Also within easy reach of the central business district is the North Shore Coastal Walk. Visitors can choose to do part or all of the 23 km walk, which traverses the beaches and neighborhoods along Auckland's North Shore.
