As the summer gradually ends and gives way to the colder winter months, September's weather is significantly and comfortably cooler in Aqaba. You will find the city colourful as the leaves turn to orange while the grass turns to brownish green. You will feel the first sign of the upcoming cold season through the cool breeze at night.

The average warm temperature during September in Aqaba is about 36.4°C or 97.5°F. The lowest temperature would be around 23.3°C or 73.9°F. If you are planning to visit this beautiful and exotic city in September, pack up some light summer clothes but don't forget to bring your sweater in case it gets chilly at night.

Since diving is an activity that is available all year round, you can still enjoy this at this month with Aqaba's clear waters and less crowded diving spots.

Water temperature would range around 25°C or 77°F. This means that the water is still warm enough for you to wear a T-shirt or a short suit as you dive or snorkel to your heart's content.

There are other activities that you can do besides enjoying the quiet underwater world; these can include bird watching, entertaining yourself in marine parks, swimming at the city's most beautiful resorts or simply relaxing at Aqaba's luxurious hotels.

September is the month of Ramadan. This is a national, sacred holiday for all Islamic countries that consists of fasting and praying throughout the day. Eid Al-Isra wa Al-Miraj is celebrated as well during this month. It is a feast day for Prophet Mohammed as he finally made his way up to heaven.

Finish the month off by participating with the most exotic food festival in the country, known as the Amman Food Festival. Take note that national holidays and festivals always fill Aqaba's luxurious hotels, so make sure you book your reservations early.
