We were on a Caribbean cruise, and fortunately we got to spend the day in Antigua. We are looking at doing a 2 week holiday next year.

Weather
The weather was wonderful with the sun and a light breeze making it very comfortable.
When it did rain it was only very brief showers that made the air smell even better.Holiday
Relaxing and fun with no stress and wonderful people!
The food was great and the beach even better.
The hotel staff went out of their way to make it a perfect vacation and we are headed back with the kids this time.Recommend Antigua to others?

Weather was brilliant most of the time. Rained heavily for two days due to Tropical Storm Isaac passing through, but there were no days without sun for at least part of the time. Very hot - temperatures exceeded 85 degrees on most days.

First visit to Antigua and it wont be my last! Lovely hotel (Halcyon Cove by Rex Resorts) with the friendliest and most helpful staff I have ever met. Everyone made us feel special. Food at the hotel was brilliant - if you go all inclusive book the gym when you get home: you'll need it!
Ask Errol the bar man to mix you a cocktail - but make sure someone can get you back to your room first - they're strong! And Orlan - you cook the best eggs - my son says so!Recommend Antigua to others?

We have been very lucky with the weather; been there in June, September and November: it has been very hot at all times with a few showers.

Best place we have been- I call it our paradise island in the sun; beautiful people and a beautiful island.

Mixed. Christmas Eve very cloudy but warm. Christmas Day fabulous. Boxing Day cloudy. 30th January disaster - very heavy rain most of the day.

Great Pineapple have to say is not brilliant for service but brilliant for relaxing. We had rooms 920 and 921 - huge rooms with fabulous ocean and pool views. Meticulously clean. One of the best parts of the holiday was watching my husband who works harder than any other man I know actually "doing nothing" and loving every minute of it.
Staff hillarious at times, especially the "Dancing Barman" who had a grin splitting his face ear to ear all the time, and very friendly all the time. Day pass to Sandals - empathised with earlier Tripadvisor reviewer who said "it was a relief to get back to GP". Far too big, far too noisy, far too many Americans who could not relax at all, and dreadful beach - which is why the took over GP beach earlier in the year for their own beach shots as GP's beach is 2nd most beautiful on the island.Recommend Antigua to others?

Briliant weather suited my wife and I perfectly. We are back next month staying at Beach Club at St James. Highly recommended. Met lots of new friend over the years and we are always welcomed back with open arms

Hot hot hot with lovely cooler nights with the wind coming off the sea.
It got to hot sometimes, but we used to sit under a palm tree well in the shade and we still got a great tan.Holiday
Fantastic so good we are returning for a month this year cant wait ,so relaxing, great for kids ,lovely friendly staff at the hotel.

Lovely sunny days warm nightsHoliday
Sandals resort ,staff , & food was excellent.
The beach lovely with warm waters great time looking forward to going back.

Sunsail Club Colonna Antigua

Very hot and sunny with occasional cloudy patches.
The first day we arrived it was very cloudy and had apparently been so for several days.
Other than the first few days we had plenty of lovely, hot sunshine with occasional clouds and no rain.
Holiday
Our third visit to Sunsail Antigua; we love the weather, the place and the people.
Everything is very easy - 10 min transfer from airport, plenty of sailing opportunities and lots of other things to do for nonsailors at Sunsail.
Havent explored the wider island much but St Johns is fairly dull and don't waste time visiting Shirley Heights - a dull tourist rip off.
The people are absolutely delightful in the main and their relaxed attitude to life is infectious.
Great for families with children, or any age in fact.Recommend Antigua to others?

Wonderful food, great people, friendly and welcoming. We stay at the St James's Club villas - highly recommended!

It was a bit stormy for 5 days but didn't detract from a great time and it allowed time for the mild sunburn to settle. Wnet sailing with friend and it blew up to a storm but what fun expecially when you have a real professional crew.
Holiday
We stayed at the (Virgin) Beach Club St James and it was fantastic. This is the sixth time we have stayed there and we will go back again next year. The food is excellent and the staff fantastic. Sad to say that some staff have been layed off as Antigua is way down on visitors this year. We can only hope it picks up and people like Mr James who was the Cocos Restaurant Manager will be back.

Two weeks in Antigua

Weather was excellent although there was a tropical storm one night on our second week. By lunchtime the army of gardners had it all cleared away and you would never know anything was amiss.
The sun was out from first thing in thr morning and the temps didnt go below 80'sHoliday
Thoroughly enjoyed holiday. The Grand Pineapple Resort is a goof place to stay, but its best to upgrade from the standard room to a garden room. The place was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. You feel that you had a good rest. The resturants were good but could have had a better variety of food some days. There was always something going on of a night as well. The beach is very good.
