Terraza Amadores Apartments
If you want to gaze upon a beautiful view every morning when you wake up during your holiday in Amadores, then Terraza Amadores Apartments are for you. Sat on the side of a steep cliff, you will have access to stunning sunsets, sunrises, and generally amazing views from here, as well as having plenty of facilities and amenities at your disposal. The large swimming pool has a well-stock poolside bar, and the overall décor is very modern. The location is also great, at just 200m from the beach.

Servatur Puerto Azul is another popular choice, a large complex including several swimming pools, very close to the beach. You can go for an all-inclusive board basis here, with many options for rooms, including upgrades to suites if you want to make your break a little more special.
Beach in Gran Canaria for October
Maspolamas Beach
You could easily combine a visit to the famous sand dunes at Maspalomas with a spot of splashing at the beach. This large and popular beach is divided into sections, so make sure you get the right part for your needs; the first part is the main section, where most tourists and families flock, however the other sections are nudist zones, and the third section is a popular spot with the gay community.
Whichever section you go for, there are plentiful facilities for refreshment, with bars and restaurants backing the beach, and plenty of water-sports on offer too, which is a great choice with the warm temperature of the sea at this time of year.
Bars and Restaurants
If you feel like heading away from Amadores for the evening and you don't fancy the bright lights of Puerto Rico, then maybe a change of pace in nearby Puerto de Mogan is for you.
Que Tal
Que Tal is a restaurant that comes very highly recommended in whole area, with delicious food presented almost like art-work. For a treat this is a great place to go, perhaps for a celebration of some kind.
El Jamonal Wine Bar
For something a little more laid-back but still quite upmarket, to match the feel in Puerto de Mogan, why not try El Jamonal Wine Bar, for nibbles and wine whilst you have a chat in relaxed surroundings.
Café Sol y Luna
Maybe Café Sol y Luna for a very reasonably priced meal in equally as chilled-out surroundings, before heading back to Amadores at the end of the evening.
Things to do in Amadores in October
Festival of the Sea
October means fiesta time again, and this time it is the Fiestas de la Naval, or the Festival of the Sea. This takes place on the second Saturday of the month and is held to commemorate the famous Spanish victory with the Armada over Sir Francis Drake back in 1595. You'll see many sea-bearing processions, mainly in Las Palmas, but also in other port towns around the island too. It's a fun sight to see, so maybe jumping on the bus or hiring a car and heading up to the capital could be a great day out, with plenty to see and do once you're there too.
Mondragon's Dream
Keeping with the sea theme a little, Mondragon's Dream is a very popular boat trip you can take, never crowded, with an old-school vibe about the boat, and a friendly crew. You can opt for many different tours, including half day and full day sailing trips, and you get to enjoy the coastline of Amadores and the surrounding area, in a totally chilled out manner.
Submarine Adventure
Alternatively, you can enjoy what lies beneath the surface of the water without getting at all wet by heading to Puerto de Mogan and enjoying the Submarine Adventure, a classic yellow submarine ride which lets you see some of the marine-life around the town's coastline.
Gran Caneria Divers
If you do want to get wet however, and arm yourself with a new skill whilst you're away on holiday in Amadores, then Gran Canaria Divers is a great way to do just that. Here you can earn your PADI certification in diving, all with the help of patient, knowledgeable staff, and work your way up to diving unaided in the surrounding water. What better thing to take away with you from your time in Gran Canaria?
