Playas de las Canteras
The final month of summer is still prime beach time, and Playa de las Canteras is a great choice for somewhere a little different. Protected by a large natural reef, called La Barra, this is a good spot for anyone into diving, as well as being popular amongst surfers too. Despite the fact you can surf here, the waters are still good for swimming, without being too rough, so this is a good, fun choice for families, with a totally different vibe to Amadores itself.
This makes a great choice for a day away from your resort base, and at about an hour's drive away, you will see some fantastic scenery as you travel.

If you enjoy Italian food then you will be spoilt for choice in Amadores and the surrounding area, as there seems to be more Italian choices than Spanish! Ciao Ciao Amadores is the perfect choice for a meal after a spot of shopping, located very centrally, right in the heart of the shopping centre. Here you will find a large menu of delicious dishes, including pastas, pizzas, and risottos, to name a few. Alternatively, Restaurante Picasso is another delicious choice to try.
Casito Mediterraneo
If you want to head a little out of Amadores for the evening, then Puerto de Mogan is home to Casito Mediterraneo, where you will find a whole host of international dishes, including some home-grown Spanish choices too.
Things to do in Amadores in November
Christmas Shopping
November means one thing for most people Christmas shopping! You can easily stock up on presents for loved ones in Amadores and the surrounding resorts, with plenty of large shops, shopping centres, and markets to check out. The best shopping opportunities are obviously further north in the capital, Las Palmas, and this is only an hour's drive away, so certainly within reach. If you want to stay a little closer to resort, Amadores itself has plenty of small souvenir shops, where you can pick up something a little unusual, however Puerto de Mogan and Puerto Rico have large shops, with Puerto Rico home to shopping centres too.
Anfi Tauro Golf
Once you've finished shopping, or you've left your partner to shop whilst you go and relax, you could head to Anfi Tauro Golf and enjoy a few hours' on the green, in beautiful surroundings. The weather is very mild in November, perfect for heading outside and enjoying a few rounds of golf, and the low rainfall is unlikely to upset your plans too much, if at all.
Parque Acuatico Oasis Lago Taurito
You can still get out and enjoy the outdoors despite the fact November has arrived, simply because the weather doesn't change dramatically in Amadores regardless of the month. Parque Acuatico Oasis Lago Taurito is a fun day out for the family, or simply those who love a bit of water-based fun, and is within very easy reach of Amadores, thanks to a reliable local bus service.
