The Shamrock Bar
The neon-lit bars of Puerto Rico are where it's at for entertainment, however the larger hotels in Amadores itself offer music and plentiful drinks of an evening. If you do want something a little more colourful then head to The Shamrock Bar in Puerto Rico for an Irish bar with cabaret and a fun atmosphere.

The Crazy Horse Bar is also a great night out; small but fun nonetheless, and very popular amongst those who visit Gran Canaria time and time again.

Amadores itself isn't bustling with bars and clubs, and if that's the kind of nightlife you're after then you are going to have to make use of the public bus system. Horse Riding
Summer time is well and truly in place in Amadores, and it's time to get out and take part in some fun, exciting activities to enhance your holiday experience, away from the beach and relaxation. If you've never taken part in horse riding before, now is your chance, with The Saddle Club Gran Canaria highly regarded in the area. A great choice for first timers, you can learn about horses, take your first ride, and simply be around these gentle creatures. This particular activity is located between Amadores and Maspalomas, which gives you the opportunity to continue on to the neighbouring resort for a change of scenery if you so wish.
Stand up Paddling
For a wetter activity to enjoy, how about stand up paddling? This is as close to walking on water as you're likely to get, and although you will no doubt fall in a few times, its great fun to learn, with patient and experienced instructors on hand at Stand Up Paddle Gran Canaria. This is located near to the picturesque village of Arguineguin, a typical fishing village with an authentic way of life.
Sea Trek Spain
Another alternative is of course checkingout the underwater world, which is very rich and colourful around this part of the world. If you don't fancy scuba diving or snorkelling, then how about walking on the sea bed? Sea Trek Spain allows you to do just that, also known as helmet diving, and it's an experience you will probably never forget.
