Amadores Beach
As the temperatures begin to get a little warmer, you might not feel like exploring too much, and simply want to stay in resort on the central beach. In that case, Amadores beach is perfect for rest and relaxation. If you're travelling with children, this beach is the perfect spot, because the water is calm, the area is wide, and you don't have to worry about dodging footballs, as there are no ball games or loud music allowed in this space. There are facilities on the beach, such as a shower, and cafes and restaurants, and the water is clear and restful.
If you want to truly enjoy your time with something a little special, head to the beach at sunset and look out towards the neighbouring island of Tenerife. On a clear day you can see the sun setting behind the highest peak on the island, Mount Teide.

Alternatively, Restaurante Zenubia is hugely popular for a reason. This family-run business is situated right along the beach, offering beautiful views, with a large menu of delicious dishes. Try the fajitas, they're truly mouth-watering.
Things to do in Amadores in April
Head over to Las Palmas
April is the last month of the official winter season, although the temperatures might make you think otherwise, with very mild warmth every day. This is a good excuse to get out and explore, perhaps hiring a car and heading over to the capital, Las Palmas, for the day. Here you will find a beautiful cathedral, plenty of museums, and lots of shopping opportunities, and it only takes around an hour to drive there, with beautiful scenery en-route.
San Agustin and Maspalomas Walking Trail
Alternatively, if you would prefer to stay more nearby, get your walking shoes on and travel the short distance to Maspalomas. The walking trail between San Augustin and Maspalomas itself is full of jaw-dropping coastal views, and only takes an hour to complete. You could easily stop for a refreshment and head back the way you came, to burn off some calories!
Mini Golf Course
Staying within resort, at the far end of the beach in Amadores you will find a mini golf course which is sure to thrill the youngsters in your party, and certainly kill a few hours away from the beach if you fancy a change.
