What's the weather like in Altinkum in February
Whilst still very much in the grips of winter, Altinkum is a wonderful place to visit during the early part of the year, because this is when you will see much more in the way of traditional life and customs. The weather is certainly much better in this part of Turkey than inland and in neighbouring countries, and with a huge 7 hours of sunshine per day, it is entirely possible to get many beautiful, sunny winter days, perfect for exploring the resort and surrounding area.
February sees an average temperature of around 6°C, which although a little on the cold side, can reach up to 8°C as an average high. Evenings are still very chilly, with a low reaching around 3°C, so warm clothing will be required if you venture out during darkness hours.
There is plenty of good news still to come however, as the second month of the year sees much less in the way of rain compared to January, which was the rainiest month of the year overall. You can expect around 90mm of precipitation throughout the month on average, which spans over 10 days affected by rain to some degree. This is much reduced, and only generally means you will see sharp downpours, without days of prolonged rain.
Generally speaking, you won't be having much in the way of beach days during this time of year, however that doesn't mean you can't go for a brisk walk along the water front, especially on those warmer days. The Aegean averages around 16°C as an average water temperature at this time, which is a little cold for swimming and water-sports, however you will notice very calm waters on those quiet days, which is a wonderfully romantic sight, especially if you're visiting the resort with your loved one on Valentine's Day perhaps.
