Pollenca

Shopping
Of course, the following month is Christmas, and there may be a good reason to head to nearby Palma for a spot of shopping! Palma is fantastic for retail therapy, and is without a doubt the best destination on the island for credit card bashing. Passeig des Born is the main shopping area, where high street shops mingle with upmarket boutiques. If jewellery is what you are after then head to Placa Major. Palma Avinguda Jaume III is another major shopping hub, as well as the large mall on Placa Major again. You will find plenty of leather shops, fashion, homewares, and souvenirs, meaning you won't leave empty handed, especially if you visit the huge El Corte Ingles store.
Spa
A winter break in Alcudia should be relaxing, and to double your efforts, why not head off to a spa for a few hours, and treat yourself to a relaxing massage, manicure, pedicure, or some other treatment which focuses on relaxation and wellness? Walking Trails
On warmer, clear days you should certainly head out and explore the surrounding area around Alcudia. There are many walking trails around the region, some easy, and some for the experienced walker. The nearby Tramuntana Mountain Range leaves you plenty of options for scenery, and the Barranc de Biniaraix walk is probably one of the most famous, taking you through a gorge and dramatic landscapes. Alternatively, if you are an experienced walker, then perhaps the rather perilous Torrent del Pareis walk is for you. This is one you shouldn't attempt without checking conditions beforehand, and to have a good standard of health; the scenery however, is breath-taking.
