What's the Weather like in Alcudia in August

Sea Temperature

August is officially Alcudia's hottest month of the year, and possibly the busiest in terms of tourism too. On top of this, August is the best time to head to the beach and enjoy some water-sports, with the best sea temperature of the year, at a wonderfully warm 26°C.

Temperature

The air temperature in August reaches 25°C on average, however does easily reach an average high of 30°C, with a low of only 19°C, making air conditioning a must for a good night's sleep.

Rainfall

Rain is not an issue, with only 20mm falling on average throughout the month, affecting 6 days; rain only tends to fall at this time of year during summer thunderstorms, which are certainly short lived and leave behind plentiful blue skies.

Sunshine Hours

On the other hand, you can expect a huge 12 hours of sunshine per day, giving you the perfect excuse to get out and about and top up that tan.

Alcudia Hotels in August

The August heat in Alcudia can be overwhelming at times, so it makes sense to choose a hotel that has plenty of activities and facilities on hand, so you don't have to wander too far.

Club Mac Alcudia & Waterpark

A perfect choice for a family holiday is the Club Mac Alcudia & Waterpark. As the name suggests, the on-site water park is included in the hotel admission, and it is also only a 10 minutes' walk to the nearest beach.

President Golf & Spa Hotel

Alternatively, the President Golf & Spa Hotel is a large all-inclusive resort which is very family-friendly, with plenty of activities to keep everyone occupied throughout the day and evening.

Globales Condes de Alcudia

The Globales Condes de Alcudia is another great choice for a beach hotel, separated only from the sand by a road. This particular hotel is very close to everything you will need, as well as handy public transport links.

Alcudia Beaches for August

S'illot Beach

You might be keen to avoid crowds, but still want to enjoy beach time during your stay in Alcudia. Watersports, swimming and sunbathing opportunities are plentiful on all beaches in and around Alcudia, and S'Illot Beach is a fantastic choice. Located just outside of Alcudia itself, about 3.5km away, this is a small pebble beach, but it feels very cut off, and almost like a hidden gem.

Bars and Restaurants

The Foxes Arms

Visiting Alcudia means you are open to a wide range of bars and restaurants to try during your stay, but if you fancy a little slice of relaxation, perhaps somewhere nice to sit for a beer and some simple pub grub, then The Foxes Arms is ideal. You can sit outside under the shade of an umbrella and watch the world go by, enjoying a cheeky beverage or two!

Dharma Cafe

If you fancy a slice of cake and a delicious coffee however then Dharma Café comes very highly recommended for that exact reason!

Floridita

Enjoying a delicious meal with a stunning sea view should be done at least once during your stay in Alcudia, and in that case it has to be Floridita. The large menu of delicious, mouth-watering Mediterranean dishes sits perfectly with the view right over the sea relaxing and ideal for your holiday.

Things to do in Alcudia in August

Sa Pobla

Fans of jazz should be heading to Sa Pobla during the first week of August, as this is the annual jazz festival. Sa Pobla itself is a pretty village and should certainly be explored, giving you an overview of authentic life on the island.

Alcudia Xperience Bus

Because temperatures in August can be high indeed, it's a good idea to try and cut down on as much walking as possible, especially where sightseeing is concerned. Now, that's not to say you shouldn't explore Alcudia, because that should certainly be done, but via a different means. Alcudia Xperience Bus is a great way to see the sights without breaking a sweat. This is an open top bus, so you can still get a tan, with a guided audio recording, as well as a little time to explore the Old Town, which is relatively shaded, via a guided walk.

FUN4GO Alcudia

Alternatively, FUN4GO Alcudia offer segway tours of the resort, so you can see everything without really moving your feet! This is a great way to introduce kids to sightseeing, as they're seeing everything and having fun as they're doing it!

Wakepark

If however you fancy getting a little wet to cool down, then head to Alcudia's Wakepark. This is a great way to learn a new skill and have a whole lot of fun at the same time, in a beautiful setting. Here you can learn to surf and wakeboard under the watchful eye of an experienced teacher, and hopefully learn the ropes before the end of the day. Suitable for all abilities, as well as families, this is a fun day out, and something a little different to enjoy.
