Things to do in Alcudia in April
Before the crowds begin to flock to Alcudia, as well as the warmer temperatures, April is a fantastic time to explore the surrounding area, especially the beautiful countryside. You could of course hire a car and head off on your own steam, or find a guided excursion to take the hard work out of it for you, the choice is yours.
Pollensa Wine Fair
The third weekend in April is Pollensa Wine Fair time, where you can sample many different local wines from the island and choose which ones you're going to purchase to take back to your hotel with you. This is a very popular event, and one you will probably return from a tiny bit tipsy!
Palma Aquarium
You could also head over to Palma during April, as travelling when the temperatures are a little cooler is much more advantageous than when they're much hotter! Palma Aquarium is a fantastic day out for all the family, with sharks, stingrays, and many different species of fish to visit, with 55 tanks to take your time exploring. You can easily head off and enjoy the many shopping opportunities Palma holds, making a full day of your visit.
Orange Blossom Trail
One of the most popular trails to follow around the island is without a doubt the Orange Blossom Trail, which takes you through villages, small towns, and the beautiful Tramuntana Mountains. Jump aboard the Orange Blossom Express as it makes its way through scenery you will certainly need your camera for, enjoying the passing countryside and mountain scenes. You will certainly need to allow a full day of your holiday for this activity.
Rancho Grande
If you still haven't had enough of the countryside then perhaps a visit to Rancho Grande is on your itinerary. This is the biggest horse ranch on the island, situated right in the heart of the countryside, giving amazing views, as well as a fun experience. You get to meet cowboys, before heading off on a horseback trek through the countryside, with all abilities catered for.
