Dress Code

If women will be entering a mosque they need to be completely covered except for their hands and face. At the beach women may wear a conservative two-piece bikini and men may wear shorts. Yas Island Marina Beach
If you're staying at any of the hotels on Yas Island you'll have access to Yas Beach. This popular beach is full of activities for everyone. In addition to the white sandy beach, Yas Beach also has volleyball courts, an outdoor gym, and a marina where you can rent sailboats, kayaks, jet skis, and standup paddleboards.
There is also a pool at Yas Beach featuring a fun lounge area with a DJ. Lounge chairs and umbrellas are available for beach goers. Even if you're not a guest of Yas Island hotels you can still get access to this gorgeous beach by paying a small fee. There are numerous great restaurants and shops in the vicinity of Yas Beach.

The Bayshore
The Bayshore Restaurant is a new addition to the Bayshore Beach Club. While the Bayshore Beach Club at the InterContinental is for members only, the restaurant is open to the general public. It's a great place to go to just sit and relax on the beach, enjoying food and cocktails. The Bayshore Restaurant serves outstanding wagyu burgers, large flavorful salads, sandwiches, and fresh fruit. The staff is exceptionally friendly and the bartenders are more than just bartenders they're mixologists and can accommodate any requests. The Bayshore Restaurant is open daily from noon until 7PM.
Essence
Essence is a wonderful all you can eat buffet located in the Beach Rotana hotel, next to the Abu Dhabi Mall. This casual restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a relaxed setting indoors and in an outdoor terrace. Instead of just standard buffet tables, Essence also features live cooking stations where you can watch the food being prepared, and this includes the sushi counter. You'll find food from around the world, including Japan, Polynesia, Germany, Italy, and of course the Middle East. Essence is open daily from 6AM to 8:30PM with breaks between meals.
The Foundry
The Foundry is a contemporary steakhouse in the Southern Sun hotel in downtown Abu Dhabi. This award-winning restaurant serves an outstanding buffet and a la carte menu for breakfast and lunch, and for dinner transforms into a stylish steakhouse serving the finest cuts of meat from around the world. Premium steaks are sourced from private butchers all over Australia, the United States, Europe, and South Africa. Other menu items include Kelly oysters, pan seared foie gras, lobster risotto, and Welsh lamb rack. A substantial wine menu is available to compliment your dinner. The Foundry is open daily from 6AM to 11PM with breaks between meals. Reservations are accepted.
Vertical Wine Bar
Up on the 10th floor of the Ramada Downtown you'll find the Vertical Wine Bar, a trendy nightclub and wine bar. Vertical features entertaining live music and a fun DJ. The bar itself is rather small and can get crowded, but some of the tables do offer room to spread out. Food items include steaks and seafood, and there is also an expansive cocktail menu and full bar. Come for the happy hour specials and stay for the rest of the night to listen to the band. Vertical Wine Bar is open daily from noon until 3AM.
Things to do in Abu Dhabi in July
Emirates Park Zoo
Kids and adults will enjoy a visit to the Emirates Park Zoo. The zoo is well maintained and takes into consideration the experience of both their guests and their animals. Some of the animals you'll find at this zoo are giraffes, elephants, monkeys, reptiles, and leopards. Shows and feedings are scheduled regularly throughout the day, and children will enjoy spending time at the petting zoo. Emirates Park Zoo is open Sunday through Wednesday from 9AM to 8PM and Thursday & Friday from 9AM to 9PM. Its location just outside of Abu Dhabi can make visitation difficult if you don't have a rental car, but your hotel should be able to arrange transportation for you.
Abu Dhabi Moto Desert Rides
Abu Dhabi is proud of their motorsports, and they share this with tourists with their moto desert rides. This experience isn't for everyone but they do offer some rides for amateurs. The experience lasts half a day and takes you on a thrilling ride through the dunes. Groups are kept small and manageable, providing a personalized experience. You'll find camels, play in sand bowls, and soar over dune crests. All equipment is provided. Some tour operators also offer multi-day rides of exploring the desert. Sunset rides are also available. This is definitely an adrenaline-filled experience.
Marina Mall
If the temperatures and humidity are too much for you, hang out in the cool air conditioning of the Marina Mall. This large mall complex is located near the Corniche breakwater. The Marina Mall is one of the largest malls in Abu Dhabi, containing over 400 stores from local crafts to high-end jewelry and fashion shops. The Marina Mall also offers numerous dining options, ranging from fast food to sit-down restaurants. If shopping isn't your thing you can also pass the time in the Marina Mall's bowling complex, movie theaters, or exploring the large observatory.
Abu Dhabi Falcon Hospital
You would probably never think of a hospital as a tourist attraction, but one of the most popular attractions in Abu Dhabi is the Abu Dhabi Falcon Hospital. This hospital is one of the few hospitals in the world that specializes in falcons, which are an important part of Arab culture. A guide is required and tours can be easily arranged through your hotel concierge. The tours will take you through the hospital where you'll learn about falcons, their role in Arabic culture, and interact with some of the falcons at the hospital. Occasionally guests are able to watch a medical procedure. The Abu Dhabi Falcon Hospital is located near the Abu Dhabi International Airport.
