Jandia is located on the island of Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands, Spain. The islands are just a short distance from the shore of northwestern Africa, which is already an indicator of the weather that you may expect there. The Canary Islands are excellent for both beach holidays and active holidays. A preferred place amongst cyclists to prepare for the upcoming cycling season or to simply go for scenic bike tours, the Canary Islands are wonderful for outdoor activities. The most well-known and popular islands in the archipelago, alongside Fuerteventura, are Gran Canaria, Tenerife and Lanzarote.
Jandia is a superb holiday destination all-year round, making it an excellent spot for warm vacations at any time of the year. The temperatures are very warm and the sea temperatures remain warm enough so swimming can be enjoyed at any time of the year.
The average daily temperature varies from 17°C to 24°C throughout the year. The hottest months are August and September with an average daily temperature of 24°C. From June through October, you will be able to enjoy average temperatures that are higher than 20°C. January and February are the months with the lowest average temperature of the year at 17°C. The average afternoon high temperatures are always above 20°Chroughout the entire yearhich strengthens Jandia's reputation as a perfect year-round destination. January and February are the "coldest" months of the year with an afternoon temperature of 20°C. August and September, with 26°C in the afternoon, are the warmest. At night, the mercury ranges between 14°C in the winter months and 21°C in the peak summer months.
Likewise, the sea temperature is most enjoyable throughout the entire year, ranging between 18°C in February and March, and 22°C in September and October. These temperatures will provide the necessary refuge during the hot summer months, while in winter, they're still high enough to allow for dips in the Atlantic Ocean water sports in particular can be enjoyed year-round in Jandia.
As would be expected, summer is the sunniest season and July has the most daily sunshine with an average of 12 hours per day. However, you can bask in more than 10 hours of sunshine per day from April all the way through August. In the "winter" season, from November through February, there still are 8 or more sunshine hours per daylenty of sunshine for you to enjoy, allowing you to take part in outdoor pursuits virtually every day of the year. This means Jandia offers a welcome holiday destination for tourists from countries with cold, damp or cloudy winters.
There is some variety in the amount of rainfall throughout the year, but generally speaking, Jandia Is a pretty dry place. February is the wettest month with an average of 22mm of rainfall, which is spread out over 3 days with rainfall. The least rainfall is from June through August, when there are months which pass without receiving any rainfall whatsoever. In general, the weather is at its wettest from November through February, with rainfall totals ranging between 17mm and 22mm per month. These numbers, it must be said, are extremely low compared to many other destinations.
In fact, while the occasional rain shower might be experienced when visiting Jandia in the winter season, they aren't anything to worry about. You can actually plan a vacation to avoid almost all risks of rain. Therefore, you can spend the entire trip participating in various outdoor activities if you wish. With that being said; you can have a magnificent vacation anywhere in the area. While you may choose to stay in Jandia, you can travel to nearby villages or beaches to see more of the beauty of the region.
